Nurse Practitioner

  • ADELE COCHRANE

    Advanced Nurse Practitioner, MSC (QUB 2010), BSc Adult Nursing, Advanced Nursing Practice (Robert Gordon University 2018)

    Adele is our Nurse Practitioner who provides advice and medical expertise including treatment of minor ailments, women’s health issues, management of chronic conditions including diabetes and coronary heart disease. They are able to prescribe independently of doctors.

    Donna aims to provide an efficient and quality service. This comprehensive service includes monitoring chronic disease processes, cervical screening, contraceptive/HRT pill checks and vaccination programmes.

    Julie provides efficient and professional nursing care including dressing, suture removal, blood pressure monitoring and general advice.

Phlebotomist

Karolina is available for taking blood at the morning surgery. You must book an appointment to have a blood test.

Practice Pharmacists

Our practice pharmacy team are very experienced and can use their clinical skills to manage patients, review medications and deal with most queries regarding medication.

Community Midwives

Work with the doctors to provide care for mothers before and after delivery and care for the baby during the first ten days of life. The midwife no longer works from the surgery, clinics are now all hospital based.

Community Nurses

Provide skilled nursing care for patients who are house bound or recently discharged from Hospital.

Health Visitors

Visit all families with children under 5 years of age. They provide information, advice and support to all age groups, particularly at times of physical or emotional stress.

Social Services

Social Services help with all kinds of social problems. Any of the above services can be contacted through the Surgery Receptionist. Moira Surgery has suitable access for disabled patients.
